Jamahiriya Crisis: A European Council is convened

The Heads of State and Government of the European Union will meet in Extraordinary Council on 11 March to decide on a "common strategy" against the Libyan crisis alarming, that Colonel Gaddafi is clinging to power.
The summit comes after the adoption of sanctions against the Libyan regime by the EU, February 28. The bloc should also discuss the threats posed by the migratory influx of refugees from Libya.
